Sewer-connect portaloos are the lowest-maintenance toilet option for a construction site that already has sewer access. Instead of a holding tank we pump out every fortnight, the unit plumbs directly into your site's sewer line — waste drains away continuously, the same as a household toilet. No pump-outs, no servicing visits, and it never fills up no matter how busy the site gets. Because we're not running a vacuum truck to it, it's priced below our standard serviced construction unit.

What is a sewer-connect portaloo?

A sewer-connect portaloo is a portable toilet that plumbs directly into your site's sewer line and water supply. It looks and works like a standard construction portaloo — fresh water flush, hand wash basin, anti-slip floor — but instead of holding waste in a tank we pump out every fortnight, everything drains straight to the sewer, the same as the toilet in your home.

That one difference changes everything on a busy site: the unit never fills up, there are no servicing visits to schedule, and there's no recurring pump-out cost. It's the lowest-maintenance toilet option for any construction site that already has a sewer connection available — and because we're not running a vacuum truck to it, it's priced below our standard serviced construction unit.

Sewer connect portaloo FAQs

What is a sewer-connect portable toilet?
A sewer-connect (or mains-connected) portable toilet plumbs directly into your site's sewer line and water supply. It flushes with fresh water like a normal household toilet and drains straight to the sewer — so the waste tank never fills up and no pump-out servicing is required.
Do I need a sewer connection on site?
Yes. A sewer-connect unit needs an accessible sewer connection point and a water supply nearby. It's ideal for construction sites once site services are in, or any site with existing sewer access. If your site has no sewer connection, our standard serviced construction portaloo is the better fit.
Does it need pump-outs or servicing?
No. Because waste drains directly to the sewer, there are no holding-tank pump-outs and no scheduled servicing visits. That removes the recurring servicing cost — which is why a sewer-connect unit is priced below our standard serviced construction portaloo.
Who connects the unit to the sewer?
We deliver and place the unit by crane truck; your site plumber makes the final tie-in to the sewer outlet and water supply. It's a quick, standard connection, and we position the unit right beside your connection point to keep it simple.
How is it different from a standard construction portaloo?
A standard construction portaloo has a self-contained holding tank that we pump out and sanitise fortnightly. A sewer-connect unit drains continuously to the sewer, so it never fills up and needs no servicing — but it requires a sewer connection on site. Both use a fresh water flush and crane-truck delivery.
What is the minimum hire period?
Sewer-connect portaloos have a minimum 4-week hire period, billed like our other long-term hires — the first invoice covers the minimum period, with extensions billed monthly in arrears.
How is it delivered?
By crane truck, the same as our standard construction units. We need a 2.5m wide path to the connection point and 5m vertical clearance. The crane has a 4-5 metre reach from hardstand.
