We deliver temporary and permanent power pole installations to sites across the Gold Coast from our Capalaba depot, with most poles installed within 48 hours of booking. Solar camera bundle hire on the Gold Coast is by enquiry only. The complete bundle includes a dedicated pole, a solar panel and battery, a fixed gate camera and a pan/tilt site camera. Both cameras record continuously, 24/7, with event recording and 10-day playback. Recordings are deleted after 10 days. The fixed camera for our hired poles is coming soon and will record events only. We do not offer camera-only hire. A travel surcharge of $10/km applies beyond our standard 40 km zone. We lodge your Energex Form 2 (Electrical Work Request) on your behalf and coordinate site access with you.
3. Gold Coast Install
Our crane truck arrives on site and installs the pole. Its meter box, RCD and outlets are fitted at our depot beforehand, so the visit typically takes 2–3 hours.
4. Energex Connection
Energex connects the service line within 2–4 weeks of install (6–8 weeks if traffic control is needed). When you're done, call us for off-hire and pickup.

Once Energex has processed the Electrical Work Request (EWR), typically 3 to 5 business days for a Gold Coast site, Poles and Holes can usually install a temporary builders power pole within 48 hours from our Capalaba depot. We lodge the EWR on your behalf so you don't need to deal with Energex directly. Drive time from Capalaba to most Gold Coast suburbs runs 50 to 70 minutes; hinterland sites in Mudgeeraba, Nerang or Maudsland add another 15–30 minutes. Once the pole is installed Energex connects the network within 2–4 weeks (6–8 weeks if traffic control is needed), then your retailer's meter provider attends a few days later to fit the meter — power flows once that meter is in. Yes — Poles and Holes installs temporary and permanent power poles across the Gold Coast Hinterland, including Nerang, Mudgeeraba, Maudsland, Tamborine Mountain, Canungra and the Coomera valley. The Hinterland sits beyond our standard 40 km delivery zone, so a $10 per kilometre distance surcharge applies on top of the standard hire rate — that fee covers the four trips every pole hire involves: delivery to site, our return to depot, pickup at end of hire, and our return again. Steep, narrow or restricted-access Hinterland sites are common, so our crew assesses crane reach on the day and chooses the safest practical placement; we'll flag any access risk at quote stage. Same Energex network applies as the rest of the Gold Coast, so the connection paperwork is identical — just longer drive times to factor in.
Solar camera bundle hire on the Gold Coast is by enquiry only, with a minimum 84-day hire. The bundle includes two cameras with continuous 24/7 recording and 10-day playback. The event-recording camera for our hired poles is coming soon and is not yet bookable; no camera-only hire is offered. A $10/km travel surcharge applies beyond our standard 40 km zone.
