Energex connects the pole once it is in the ground and your retailer turns the power on.
Brisbane property poles at the standard delivery rate within 40 km of our Capalaba depot, which covers most of Brisbane, Logan and the Redlands, with a per-kilometre charge beyond that, including the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast.
We also replace ageing private power poles and rectify Energex defect notices.

Your retailer, network provider and metering provider may charge for their work and electricity account. These are separate from our pole hire and delivery. Ask the relevant provider for the current charges for your connection.
Yes. Contact us to confirm a longer hire and the applicable charges. For event toilets, agree a revised collection date; trailer toilets must be returned to our Capalaba depot at the agreed time. For temporary poles, construction toilets and solar cameras, contact us to arrange off-hire and collection. The minimum hire charge still applies. Permanent poles are purchased, so they have no hire extension or off-hire date.
Collect and return the trailer-mounted toilet at our Capalaba depot at the agreed times. It is pickup only. Confirm the loaded weight, coupling and electrical connection with us, then check your vehicle's towing limits and licence conditions before collection.
Tell us about the road and access conditions during quote review. Traffic control for the Energex connection is free, but the typical network wait is around 6–8 weeks where it is required, instead of around 2–4 weeks. These are estimates, and retailer metering is a separate stage.
Standard-zone pole-truck delivery applies within 40 km of our Capalaba depot. The quote shows hire and delivery separately, with any distance surcharge calculated for your address. A suburb being in our service area does not mean it is inside the standard delivery zone.
Our standard temporary supply is 63A. Choose single-phase or three-phase after your builder or licensed electrician assesses the equipment and loads that will run together. We then confirm the connection configuration and site suitability. Stayed and underground options are available; stayless poles are coming soon.
Agree delivery and collection dates with us before booking. Friday-to-Monday hire can suit a weekend event, subject to availability and access. The four-day minimum still applies, and delivery and collection are charged separately.
