Built for Building Site CCTV & Security

A closer look at the advanced features of the security cameras we mount on our temporary power poles—designed to deliver reliable, high-quality site surveillance with minimal setup.

Covers the Areas That Matter Most

Mounted high on our power poles, the camera gives you a wide, elevated view of your site—ideal for keeping an eye on access points, equipment zones, and delivery areas.

4G Connectivity

Transmits footage and alerts via cellular network—no fixed internet needed. You can monitor the site remotely anytime.

Sharp 4 MP HD Video

Captures high-resolution footage (2560 × 1440), perfect for identifying faces, vehicles, and tracking site activity clearly.

Smart Motion Detection

Filters human and vehicle movement only—cuts out false triggers like animals or wind-blown debris—so you get precise alerts when something matters.

Two-Way Audio

Built-in speaker and mic let you communicate on-site from your phone—ideal for managing deliveries or warning off trespassers.

Reliable Video Backup

Stores footage locally with onboard memory and supports SD cards up to 512 GB—no dependence on cloud storage or internet.

Night Surveillance

Full-colour and infrared night vision — up to 50 m on the fixed standalone camera — keeps your site covered around the clock, even in total darkness.

Live Viewing from Anywhere

Check in on your site any time via phone, tablet, or computer. Watch live footage or review recordings through a secure app or web portal.

Select Your Site Camera Hardware

Flexible hire options to suit any project. Mount a camera on a Poles & Holes power pole — or on your own pole, fence, or structure — for elevated site coverage. Or pick a standalone solar camera pole when there's nothing on site to mount it to.

Compare Site Camera Options

Both options share the same 4MP cameras, 4G connectivity, full-colour night vision, and smart motion detection. They differ in two ways — power and cameras. The pole-mounted option is a single pan-tilt camera, mains-powered from your power pole; the standalone is a fully solar pole with two cameras — a fixed gate camera plus a roaming PTZ — that works from day one.

Security Camera Hire FAQs

Common questions about our construction site security camera hire service, covering solar power, 4G connectivity, remote viewing, and installation across Brisbane and South East Queensland.

Can I hire CCTV for a building site?
Yes — our 4G cameras are building site CCTV in all but name. They record around the clock, store footage onboard, and stream live to your phone. Choose a standalone solar pole that needs no mains power or Wi-Fi, or add a camera to your power pole. We hire across Brisbane and South East Queensland.
Do you offer construction camera rental or longer lease terms?
Yes. Cameras are available on long-term hire from a minimum 84-day rental, billed weekly. For multi-stage or long-running projects we can tailor a longer lease — call (07) 3367 2237 for a rate.
How are the cameras installed?
If you're hiring a temporary power pole, we mount a pan-tilt camera on it and power it from your meter box up a secured cable inside the pole. If you need standalone cover, we install a dedicated solar pole carrying two cameras — a fixed camera on your gate plus a roaming PTZ that patrols the site.
How much does construction site CCTV cost to hire?
Site Watch (camera mounted on a Poles & Holes temporary power pole) starts from $60/wk; Site Secure (standalone solar pole with camera) starts from $120/wk. Minimum 84-day rental. Long-term lease rates available — call (07) 3367 2237 for a quote.
What is the minimum hire period?
Security cameras are available for long-term hire only, with a minimum rental period of 84 days.
Where do you deliver your security cameras?
We deliver across Brisbane, the Gold Coast, and most of South East Queensland. Cameras can be supplied as an add-on to our temporary builders poles or as a standalone solar-powered pole setup.
Are the cameras weatherproof?
Yes. The cameras are IP66-rated, making them fully weatherproof and suitable for all outdoor site conditions.
Is the footage private?
Yes. Only you (and anyone you grant access to) can view your camera portal. Poles and Holes does not monitor or store your recordings.
What are the laws for security cameras on a construction site in QLD?
In Queensland you can generally record your own construction site and workers for genuine security purposes. Putting up signage advising that cameras are recording is considered best practice, and it's sensible to avoid pointing cameras at neighbouring private property or public footpaths. Surveillance and privacy law can be nuanced, so for anything contentious it's worth checking with a solicitor. We supply and position site cameras to suit your layout and keep coverage on your own site.
