A security camera system for hire from Poles and Holes includes the camera itself, the mounting hardware, the power source, the connectivity setup, delivery to your site, installation by our crew, and removal at the end of hire. You do not buy hardware, arrange a separate installer, or organise a data plan yourself. One hire covers the lot.
If the site has no power at all, the standalone security camera poles option carries its own pole, panel and battery.
Poles and Holes delivers site security cameras across South East Queensland from our Capalaba depot. Brisbane, Logan, Redlands, Ipswich and Moreton Bay sit inside our standard 40km delivery zone at the flat delivery rate. The Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and Toowoomba are covered as extended-zone jobs with a travel surcharge of $10 per kilometre beyond 40km.
In practice that means the growth corridors where the builds actually are: Ripley, Springfield, Yarrabilba, Caboolture, Redland Bay and Coomera all sit comfortably inside our regular runs. Delivery is $390 excluding GST inside the standard zone. We run the same trucks and the same crews that deliver our power poles, so a camera and a pole going to the same address in Brisbane is one job rather than two.
Most Queensland builders hire a 4G construction site security camera, because a fresh site has no internet and often no power for the first few weeks. Once your temporary power pole is energised, the same camera can run off mains from the pole. Sites with no power at all take a self-contained solar unit instead.

It is also why we hire cameras alongside temporary power pole hire rather than as a separate business. A camera mounted on the pole we are already installing is fitted during the pole install, sits higher for a wider field of view, and runs on mains instead of sunlight. Because it draws power from the pole, it starts working once the supply is energised, so if you need the site watched before that, take the standalone solar unit instead.
Site security camera hire is quoted per camera per week, and four things move the number: how many cameras the site needs, how long the hire runs, whether the camera runs on mains power or a self-contained solar unit, and whether the site sits inside our 40km standard delivery zone. Longer hires and multi-camera sites price better per camera.
Our figures are published rather than quoted on application. A camera mounted on a power pole is $9.86 a day excluding GST, which works out at about $69 a week. A standalone solar camera pole is $14.29 a day, or about $100 a week. Both run on a 12 week minimum hire, which is 84 days, and delivery is $390 excluding GST inside the standard zone. A good CCTV system costs nothing up front if you hire rather than buy. Buying a construction-grade multi-camera system means paying for hardware, an installer, a data plan and storage, then owning gear that sits idle between builds. Hiring converts that into a weekly rate per camera with install, removal and support included.
Do the sum on your own build. At about $69 a week for a pole-mounted camera, a six month job is a known number with no residual gear to store, insure or resell afterwards. Buying starts to make sense on a permanent yard or depot where the same camera watches the same fence line for years. For a moving build program it rarely does.
