Stayless Power Pole Hire
Self-supporting temporary power poles that don't need metal support stays. Smaller footprint, ideal for tight building sites and narrow lots.
Product Overview
Stayless power poles are a modern alternative to the traditional stayed design. Instead of relying on metal support stays for stability, a stayless pole uses a heavier timber section set into a deeper concrete foundation. The result is a temporary power pole with a footprint of roughly one square metre — significantly less than a stayed pole that needs 3 metres of clearance in every direction.
This compact design makes stayless poles the preferred choice for tight residential lots, narrow frontages, and sites where stays would obstruct driveways, footpaths, or neighbouring properties. They're also popular on knockdown rebuild sites where space is limited during the demolition and construction phases.
Installation follows the same professional process as our stayed poles. Our licensed electricians bore the foundation, installs the pole, fits the meter box, and lodges the EWR with Energex — all within 48 hours of booking. The hire fee includes 12 weeks of rental and full removal at end of hire.
